Bass Lake Triathlon

Bass Lake Classic Triathlon and Sprint Triathlon Races: Swim 500 Meters, Bike 20 K, Run 5 K Swim 1500 Meters, Bike 40 K, Run 10 K The Bass Lake Classic Triathlon has quickly established itself as one the best new triathlons in California. Well not new, as Bass Lake hosted the 1983 and 1984 USAT and USTS National Championships. In our third year back the Bass Lake Classic Triathlon continues the tradition with a superb challenging course, a beautiful venue in the Sierra foothills and the famous BBQ and Bluegrass Awards Party. The Bass Lake Classic Triathlon is centered at Bass Lake, a picturesque mountain lake only 15 minutes from the gates of Yosemite in the Sierra Foothills. Starting at the beach in front of our host hotel, The Pines Resort, triathletes are treated to a swim in the clear mountain waters of Bass Lake, followed by a challenging ride around Bass Lake and through the Sierra National Forest to finish with a run through quaint Bass Lake Village. Tired of courses choked by cars? Come to the Bass Lake Classic Triathlon and race on roads devoid of cars and in the crisp, clean air of the Sierra foothills.
