Ironman 70.3 Lake Stevens

A resort community in the 1920s, Lake Stevens is not only a gorgeous race venue, but is a perfect family vacation destination. The lake, which covers more than 1,000 acres, is ideal for a day of swimming, boating or tubing. Fishing is also a popular activity in the area, as bass, perch and rainbow trout are plentiful. To the east, is a stunning view of the Cascade Range Mountains, which offers numerous parks and trails designed for biking, hiking and horseback riding. A trip to the Washington area isn’t complete without a visit to the Boeing Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour. Reward yourself post-race with a little shopping at the Seattle Premium Outlets in nearby Tulalip, Wash. Athletes will begin with a 1.2-mile swim from the public boat launch in downtown Lake Stevens. The moderately hilly 56-mile bike course takes athletes through some of the most beautiful terrain in the Pacific Northwest. The race finishes with a run that takes athletes out of the downtown area and into the surrounding community. There are 40 qualifying slots to the IRONMAN World Championship 70.3 in Lake Las Vegas, Henderson, NV. IRONMAN 70.3 Lake Stevens is also a Regional IRONMAN TriClub Championship race. In addition to club “members only” special on site events, athletes who are a members of a TriClub or Team, earn bonus points for their club towards the prestigious IRONMAN TriClub Annual Podium Award.
