This course is all flat, great for beginners and advanced athletes alike. Both the 5k and 10k are along the Simi Valley Days parade rout on LA Avenue. Proceeds will be donated to the Simi Valley Days community fund to help local charities. All runners will be awarded a finisher medal, race day t-shirt and goodie bag with Simi Valley Days festival coupons.

The 28 th annual Simi Valley Days festival will be held at Rancho Simi Community Park just off Royal Ave. The event is the successor of the long-established community festival, Pioneer Days initiated by the United States Postmaster in 1933. Like its predecessor, Simi Valley Days features a variety of events such as the parade, carnival, concerts, and kowchip bingo arranged for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. The people, programs, or organizations which benefit each year from Simi Valley Days' festivities include, many different local charities.
