Crum Pier to Pier Training

Join fellow club members to train in South Bay for the Dwight Crum Pier to Pier Swim on Sunday, August 3 at 9am.

The Pier-to-Pier Swim is celebrating its 62st anniversary and remains one of the most popular long distance swim races in the United States. In 2024, 1,350 swimmers completed this two-mile course.

We will be training on the course this Sunday, July 20 and next Sunday, July 27. We will meet at 7:50am on the north side of the Manhattan Beach Pier and the Strand, then walk down together to the beach to drop our bags, then walk south soon after 8am. We recommend that you train on the course as the current can be surprising.

There are pay parking lots near the pier, 12th & Morningside, Metlox garage and other locations in Manhattan Beach. I personally like parking in the Metlox garage as it is protected and offers various parking lengths.

Please note that if you did not compete in 2024, you will need to do the check-out swim this Saturday or Sunday, July 19 or 20. Registrations closes this Sunday, July 20.
