EVENT SUMMARY: Ride Santa Barbara 100 takes place in one of the most beautiful and challenging cycling locations in the United States. We offer four distinct courses to suit a range of cycling abilities – each course offering a world class Santa Barbara cycling experience. All riders receive a commemorative t-shirt and goodie bag, generous aid station support, post race meal and two free beers. All riders will receive an overall chip time and riders who participate in the Gibraltar Challenge will be ranked for awards.
EVENT DETAILS All courses start at Leadbetter Beach and follow the beautiful Santa Barbara beachfront before turning inland to experience all Santa Barbara has to offer. Cyclists will wind through some of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the country; experience the rolling foothills lined with citrus and avocado orchards of the front range and climb some of the most famous mountains in the country, all while experiencing one of the most beautiful views in southern California.
COURSE INFO
Each course offers a distinct cycling experience. Riders of the 100 mile course will experience all Santa Barbara has to offer and be challenged by 9000 feet of climbing, including the “Gibraltar Challenge” a 7 mile time trial up Gibraltar Rd, before descending back toward the ocean for a beach-front finish. Our 100 km course now has two options, one route without the high country climb or the newly added 100km + Gibraltar which also includes the "Gibraltar Challenge." The 34-mile course offers the novice cyclist an amazing introduction to the Santa Barbara experience. No matter which course you choose, you will understand why many of the nations top pro cyclists make Santa Barbara their winter training playground.
All participants will have access to aid stations, SAG support throughout the course, start to finish timing, a t-shirt, and lunch with beer garden at the finish.
