The "Historic" Manhattan Beach Sun Swim... Who knows who started this swim, but it seems that swimmers from all over LA have been meeting on Sunday Mornings at the Manhattan Beach Pier since the beginning of time. All individuals swim at their own risk.
**Meet on the NORTH side of the Pier, on the sand.
**8:00 am** is the gathering time.
**Together the group will begin to walk South, as far as they want to swim.
**Typically sub-groups go out for 1, 1.5 and 2 mile(s).
**Make sure you wear a BRIGHTLY COLORED swim cap (orange, yellow, lime green, bright blue).
**Find a Swim-Buddy going your same-distance, as a best-practice.
**All individuals swim at their own risk.

Some die-hards swim all year.
