Ocean Swim Club

Experienced ocean swimmers like to gather at the beach, and go for a swim. They might pair up with people of similar speed. Nobody told them to go, or organized them. They just thought it might be nicer than swimming alone.

They know that they are swimming at their own risk, in the free and public ocean.

Nobody charges a fee. No affiliation or membership is required. Any experienced swimmer might show up. It might even be more fun to show up with your friends who swim.

Smart swimmers wear bright colored swim caps, so they may be seen. They bring their own swim caps and goggles. There is no leader, so if they forget stuff, they are out of luck. Swimmers may be more comfortable wearing a wetsuit, because the ocean is cold.

There are officials that are opposed to swimmers in groups at the beach. These officials would like to catch swimmers and fine them for being there. Be aware that this could happen on any local beach at any time. Swim at your own risk.
