Ironman 70.3 - Santa Cruz (fka Big Kahuna)

Formerly known as the Big Kahuna Triathlon, IRONMAN 70.3 Santa Cruz builds on the legacy of one of California's longest-running races. The race starts on the Santa Cruz Main Beach, east of the wharf. A 1.2 mile ocean swim will kick off the day. Athletes will begin the bike course at Depot Park as they head out on a rolling course providing numerous beautiful vistas along the California coastline. The scenic out-and-back run course traverses the Natural Bridges State Park and Wilder Ranch State Park, with the turnaround on the rugged ocean bluffs. Athletes will return to finish on the beach in front of the main stage at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. This race offers 30 qualifying slots to the 2016 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.
