Ironman 70.3 - Boulder

This event has been an athlete favorite for over a decade. IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder is one of the fastest IRONMAN events to sell out each year—making it one of the most sought-after races in the country. The extremely fast course provides personal records for many, even our local professional field. Where else in the country can you race against the best in the world on their home training ground? Swim The one-loop swim takes place in the Boulder Reservoir. The water temperature of Boulder Reservoir is generally between 65-70 degrees F in June. Bike The one-loop, 56-mile bike course will be a fast and flowing course in North Boulder and Larimer Counties. It will also pass through the western neighborhoods of Longmont. With 1,200 feet of gain it promises to test your legs on the north end of the course. Some of the nation’s fastest average times have come out of Boulder due to the speed at which our athletes can maintain on this course. Run The two-loop run course is very flat with only 197 feet of gain. The 13.1-mile route will take you around the entire Boulder Reservoir and along the feeder canal that runs into the Reservoir. Most of the course is on dirt roads and dirt trails which provides your body some relief during such a hard effort.
