Ironman Western Australia

Incorporating the iconic Busselton Jetty, the SunSmart IRONMAN Western Australia triathlon is renowned worldwide for being the place to go for a personal best, with the bike and run courses amongst the flattest on the global circuit. Popular with international athletes from all corners of the planet – including the United States, Germany, Great Britain and Singapore, SunSmart IRONMAN Western Australia has seen massive growth, selling out in record time and competitors arriving earlier than ever to take in the best Western Australia’s south-west region has to offer: from vineyards to snorkeling. The swim is a deep water start and will begin approximately 50m off shore and 50 meters away from the Jetty. The bike course is a three-loop that starts and ends on Signal Park encompassing the picturesque Geographe Bay along the way. The four-loop run course is fast, flat and especially spectator friendly. There are 40 qualifying slots for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, HI. Originally from: http://www.ironman.com/triathlon/events/asiapac/ironman/western-australia.aspx#ixzz2dnedsBa4
