MOS - Man of Steel Swim

Man of Steel swim (faster than a speeding bullet)

- This is long distance (or any distance you would like) continuous open water swim for beginners to advanced. All swimmers participate at their own risk. All individuals are responsible for themselves.

When: Saturdays

Time: 8:30 am

Where: Long Beach, Bayshore park in front of Kayaks on the Water. Meet on the pier. Lots of free parking in the area but be sure to read the signs. Some spots are permit only from 9am-5pm during the summer months. Get there early to park. Check Ocean Blvd and Side streets. They just implemented this and we learned the hard way with tickets.

Distance: Everyone can swim a short distance or long. 500 meters is from the doc to the end buoy. 1km is from the doc to the end buoy and back. 1.2 miles is that 2x. 2.4 miles is it 4x. So it's easy to judge the distance.

Please note: I am not a coach, swim instructor or lifeguard. I can help you with what I know. We will buddy up and also, there are lots of triathletes and swimmers already swimming, so there are a lot of people on the lookout, but everyone swims at their own risk. There is no lifeguard at this beach. You will be required to sign in and out. If you don't sign out, I will call your emergency contact if you don't sign out.
